CHARTS: High on Life debuts in second on Steam

The latest game from Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland has debuted at No.2 in the Steam charts.

High on Life is the third title on the platform from Squanch Games and has seen a lot of hype, not least due to its connection to the aforementioned cartoon, but also due to its talking guns. The top spot once again goes to Valve’s Steam Deck, while the company’s Index VR Kit rose one position week-on-week to take the No.8 spot.

The base version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 hangs steady in third, while the Vault Edition makes a return to the Top Ten. FIFA 23 rises three places to fourth, while Dwarf Fortress falls three places to No.5 following its Steam debut last week.

Sony’s God of War returns to the Top Ten in sixth in part due to a 40 per cent price cut – and also likely helped by the recent launch of sequel, Ragnarok. The remake of Final Fantasy 7 prequel Crisis Core debuts in ninth place.

Here is the Steam Top Ten for the week ending December 18th:

1. Steam Deck, Valve
2. High on Life, Squanch Games
3. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Activision
4. FIFA 23, EA
5. Dwarf Fortress, Bay 12 Games
6. God of War, Sony
7. Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar
8. Valve Index VR Kit, Valve
9. Crisis Core Final Fantasy 7 Reunion, Square Enix
10. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 – Vault Edition, Activision
