Google Play Games for PC launched in seven new regions

Google Play Games for PC has been rolled out in an additional seven countries.

The service is now available in the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore in open beta.

This follows the company releasing Google Play for PC in South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand and Australia in August of this year.

“Earlier this year, we announced that Google Play Games would be coming to PCs as a beta experience in a limited number of markets,” wrote Google Play Games director Arjun Dayal.

“Our goal was to gather early feedback so we could continue improving the product to fit the needs of players and developers around the world.”

They continued: “We’re thrilled to expand our platform to more markets for players to enjoy their favourite games on Google Play. As we move towards a full release, we will continue to add new features and evaluate developer and player feedback.”

This news comes hot on the heels of Google announcing its Stadia streaming service would be closing in 2023.
