Resident Evil 4 hits four million sales

The recently-released Resident Evil 4 remake has shifted over four million units to date.
That’s according to a release to investors, in which publisher Capcom said that title had shifted more than four million copies within its first two weeks on sale. Resident Evil 4 had previously sold three million copies in its first two days, meaning that it has moved one million copies in 12 days.
“In addition to Resident Evil 4 garnering interest and attention from the release of the Chainsaw Demo prior to launch, sales of the title grew steadily following a highly positive reception from customers, driving worldwide sales over 4 million units,” the company wrote.
Hitting four million sales after two weeks puts Resident Evil 4 ahead of 2021’s Resident Evil Village, which hit this milestone after 20 days.
This news comes as Capcom rolls out the free Mercenaries DLC for Resident Evil 4.
